Mediterranean Retreat: A Meeting between Natural Elegance and Boho Chic Hospitality

This interior design project, orchestrated by our lead interior designer Alberto Torres, reveals the transformation of a single-story detached home on the picturesque coast of Torremolinos, Malaga, designed specifically for vacation rentals. With a generous surface area that extends across one floor, this home has been conceived to fuse functionality with a warm and welcoming aesthetic, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Malaga coast and its serene surroundings.

Design Highlights

The design focuses on clarity, cleanliness and order, with the aim of capturing the essence of a vacation retreat that makes the most of natural light, thus creating a counterpoint to the colder climates from which many of its visitors come. The home has a spacious terrace decorated in the Moroccan boho chic style, complemented by a lush vertical garden on the left side, which invites guests to enjoy the Mediterranean climate on both sunny days and starry nights.

The inclusion of a glazed porch ensures a versatile space to be enjoyed all year round, while the two double bedrooms offer a comfortable and stylish retreat. The kitchen, completely renovated, follows a natural and fresh aesthetic, which aligns with the overall approach of the interior design.

The color palette remains faithful to Mediterranean tones, with a preference for light and fresh colors such as white, green and gray, which are complemented by details in natural wood, metal and glass. This color scheme, together with the living room covering, vegetal wallpapers in selected areas, contributes to creating a relaxed and elegant coastal atmosphere.

The living room is enriched with a vertical panel designed to house a work space, thus fusing functionality with the sober and natural style that characterizes the project. This space not only reflects the natural light of the Mediterranean, but also incorporates three key materials: steel, glass and wood, emphasizing elegance, freshness and natural texture respectively.
