A house has to respond to those who live in it: to their routines, to their tastes and to the way they want to live. That is the starting point of the studio.
My work unites interior architecture, furniture and product design. Together with my team, I accompany each client to create personal spaces, with a careful relationship between distribution, light and decoration.

MY CAREER
Of the wood trade to the spaces we inhabit.
I was born in Madrid and I am the son of a cabinetmaker from La Mancha. Furniture has been part of my history from the beginning: a link with the craft that is still present in my way of understanding interior design.
I studied Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid. In 1995, when I was 24 years old, I founded PortobelloStreet.es with David González.
The studio was born in our showroom in Pozuelo de Alarcón. From there, the work with furniture and decoration expanded to complete interior architecture and product design projects.

A SHARED HISTORY
David González and Alberto Torres
Since 1995 we have shared a professional project around furniture, decoration and design. PortobelloStreet.es and the interior design studio are part of that common trajectory.
Working on the space and the pieces that compose it allows us to maintain an overall view. The distribution, furniture, lighting and textiles are understood as parts of the same proposal.
The team works in homes, restaurants, hotels, rural houses, educational centers and other professional spaces. Scale and use change; attention to the people and the character of the place is maintained.
In addition to projects in Spain, our history includes work in the United States, Uruguay, Egypt, the Dominican Republic and Equatorial Guinea.
Interior architecture and product design complement each other to resolve both the whole of a room and the pieces that make it function.

Television has been another way of bringing our work closer to those who enjoy interior design. It allows you to show the decisions behind a project and how a home evolves.
Participation in Constructor a la fuga, which aired on La Sexta in 2015, preceded Lo vendo, lo alquilo, produced for AMC Networks and broadcast on Canal Decasa. The audiovisual career also includes Casas de Autor and Los magos de la decoración.
